The pioneer generation of faculty and staff set the tone in the 1950s – this is a Community of Learners.
Dean David French, William Murchie in Biology, Marion Ross and Virgil Bett in Economics, Glen Rasmussen and Alvin Loving in Education, and others recognized the mission they were charged with: cultivate graduates that will succeed in a changing world. The resulting atmosphere was, and continues to be, rich with curiosity, hard work and heart.
